How to Play as Godzilla in Fortnite
The highlight of this update is the ability to become Godzilla in-game. Every match will have a chance for a portal to spawn, allowing the first player to use it to transform into the legendary Titan.
Once transformed, players gain access to three powerful abilities:
- Roar: Reveals nearby enemies, giving you a tactical advantage.
- Heat Ray: Destroys players and structures with devastating energy.
- Mighty Stomp: Impulses players away, perfect for crowd control.
While playing as Godzilla offers unparalleled power, it’s a rare opportunity. The spawn rate is estimated to be between 10% and 12.5%, similar to the Doom Armor Mythic from previous seasons. This rarity ensures that becoming Godzilla feels special, but it also means not everyone will get the chance.
Rewards for Fighting Godzilla
If you don’t become Godzilla, you’ll still have a role to play. Players can team up to fight the Titan, aiming for his weak spots to knock off Godzilla fragments. These fragments provide 40 HP and three dashes when consumed, offering strategic advantages during the battle.
The Medallion isn’t the only reward; players also receive the Exotic Burst Quad Launcher, adding another layer of excitement to these high-stakes encounters. The Medallion’s design is a standout feature, adding aesthetic appeal to its functionality.
New Skins and Cosmetic Updates
This update isn’t just about gameplay mechanics. A host of new skins are dropping alongside the event, including the highly anticipated Mecha Godzilla and King Kong skins. Both will be available starting tonight at 7:00 PM Eastern, along with their respective emotes and accessories.
Additionally, the reactive Godzilla outfit is a standout. This skin glows after your first elimination in a match and intensifies with subsequent eliminations, making it a dynamic choice for players looking to make a visual impact.
Battle Pass and Crew Pack Updates
The Godzilla update also brings a new Battle Pass skin with reactive elements and additional rewards. Fortnite’s Crew Pack continues to offer great value, with the February 2025 skin, Haruka, revealed as the next addition. Crew members who inadvertently purchased a completed Battle Pass will receive refunds, ensuring a seamless experience for subscribers.
