Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has officially launched, bringing with it a wave of excitement and some of the most content-rich updates in the game’s history. This season introduces more Mythic bosses than any previous season, each offering powerful Mythic weapons and abilities that will change the way you play the game. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Mythic bosses, their locations, and the incredible rewards they drop.
Unlocking the Battle Pass
Before diving into the action, many players are eager to unlock the full Battle Pass. While it’s tempting to purchase all the tiers at once, be aware that maxing out the Battle Pass will set you back a hefty 15,000 V-Bucks—over $90. However, if you’re committed to getting all the rewards immediately, this might be the way to go.
New Points of Interest and Mythic Bosses
This season is heavily themed around Dr. Doom and his homeland, Latveria. New points of interest (POIs) are scattered across the island, each housing powerful Mythic bosses that drop unique and devastating weapons upon defeat.
- Doombot at Castle Doom: The primary boss of the season is Doombot, located at the new Castle Doom POI. Defeating him is no small task, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Doombot drops the Siphon Medallion, which grants extra health and shield upon eliminations, as well as Dr. Doom’s Monarch Pistol and Arcane Gauntlets—some of the most powerful weapons in the game right now.
- Emma Frost at The Raft: Another new POI, The Raft, is a massive prison holding some of Marvel’s most notorious villains. Here, you’ll encounter Emma Frost, who drops the Reveal Medallion and the Mythic Striker Burst Assault Rifle. Be prepared for a tough fight, as she can regenerate health and has henchmen ready to defend her.
- Mysterio at Doomstad: Doomstad is a small town in Latveria and the home of Mysterio, one of the most intriguing bosses this season. Mysterio’s Mythic Medallion allows you to turn fully invisible while crouching, and his Mythic Sovereign Shotgun is a force to be reckoned with.
- War Machine’s Hover Jets: Unlike other Mythics, War Machine’s abilities are found in Secret Avengers chests rather than by defeating a boss. The Hover Jets allow you to temporarily fly, and the War Machine’s Arsenal ability equips a massive cannon on your back, capable of dealing massive damage to opponents.
- Captain Jonesy and Captain America’s Shield: Captain Jonesy, a new NPC, can be found at an old shipping outpost. For 300 gold, you can purchase Captain America’s Shield, which doubles as a powerful weapon.
Teasers for Upcoming Content
As exciting as the current content is, there’s more to come. One of the most anticipated Mythic abilities, Shuri’s Claw, is yet to be added to the game. This ability, tied to the Wakandan princess Shuri, will likely arrive in an upcoming update and promises to be one of the most powerful in the game.
Moreover, the train vehicle introduced in Chapter 5 Season 1 has been revamped and is now fully controlled by Dr. Doom, complete with his branding. This train houses some of the best loot in the game, so make sure to defend it while hacking the chests on board.
